Murmur is a soft, consent-based open mic held in the spirit of listening, experimentation, and shared presence. This is a space for poetry, songs, stories, unfinished thoughts, quiet courage, and gentle witnessing. There is no stage hierarchy and no pressure to perform β sharing is always optional, and listening is deeply valued.
To help the evening feel grounded and accessible, performers are invited to sign up upon arrival for short, flexible sharing slots. The order is gentle and responsive rather than rigid, and we remain time-blind on purpose β healing and expression donβt move on a clock here.
For those who would like musical or technical support, a live electronic drummer and DJ will be available on demand, along with sound equipment for song input, backing tracks, or ambient accompaniment. This support is offered by request only and is especially welcoming for first-time performers, collaborative pieces, or those exploring new material.
Youβre welcome to:
Perform once or not at all
Share something polished or in progress
Collaborate with live sound or keep it simple
Come just to witness and be held by the room
The evening is lightly facilitated to keep the space respectful, inclusive, and calm, with care taken to avoid rushing or hierarchy.
All events are 420-friendly. We share space with cats β please plan accordingly if you have allergies.
